Many Chickens, Lots of Luck

Many Chickens, Lots of Luck began as a promotional video of uncertain origin, about a street food icon and polygamist named Arjun. During filming, co-director Önar Önarsson, a Swedish doctoral student researching sex rituals, was suddenly knocked unconscious when a large durian dropped off a tree and hit him in the head. He woke up believing he was Javanese and half-Arab due to his light skin. Co-director Riboet Akbar was left reeling, while Önarsson became increasingly unpredictable, insisting on dramatizing the struggles of Arjun's wives in a public forum, the Polygamy Awards. Arjun went bankrupt, and the original project was abandoned for 11 years, until Arjun's mysterious second wife took over.
