For Mom

Nona is the daughter of a woven ikat cloth seller. She lives with her father and mother. Her father is a laborer at the harbor, but occasionally helps her mother find dye in the garden. Her mother is a traditional weaver. Nona intended to give her mother a printed cloth, which would be much cheaper, for her birthday. However, she decided against it after realizing that what she did might hurt her mother's feelings. She then decided to give her a dress sewn from her mother's woven cloth.
